My Personalized Summer Bucket List for 2023

It’s June, which means we’re already halfway through 2023 (time seems to be flying, doesn’t it?). And with summer officially underway for most people, it’s the perfect time to create a bucket list and make the most of the warm weather. So, here’s my Summer 2023 bucket list:
1. Dive into three captivating novels
After rediscovering my love for reading, I want to make it a priority this summer. I have a list of enticing book recommendations, and I’m excited to immerse myself in different worlds and stories. 2. Join a dance class
This wasn’t initially on my bucket list until the opportunity presented itself to me a few weeks ago. Unexpectedly, I had the chance to join a beginner’s salsa class, and I had a fantastic time. The lively instructor and the liberating atmosphere allowed everyone to let loose and enjoy the music. I’ve decided to continue attending dance classes throughout the summer, as it keeps my body moving and provides opportunities to meet new people.
3. Experience the magic of live music
Living in a city that’s a popular tour stop has its advantages, and this summer, I plan to make the most of them. I’ve already secured tickets to see the one and only Beyoncé in July, and I’m looking forward to experiencing more live performances by other talented artists.
4. Test my culinary skills with two new recipes
Challenging myself in the kitchen is a delightful way to combine my love for baking with personal growth. A couple of birthdays ago, my parents gifted me the Beginner’s Baking Bible. It’s filled with over 130 recipes and I’ve barely scratched the surface. This summer, I aim to explore new recipes that push the boundaries of my culinary skills. Baking is a time-consuming process, so I’m starting out with two recipes but who knows, I might end up baking more.
5. Embark on dating adventures
Dating can be time-consuming, and my friends have playfully teased me about it. However, for many people, dating offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, discover their relationship preferences, and step outside their comfort zones. While the results of dating experiences can vary widely, they often lead to personal growth and self-reflection. Although I’m not entirely sure what to expect from my summer dating adventures, my genuine hope is to have at least one positive and memorable experience along the way.
6. Enroll in a French class
Learning a new language is my personal endeavor to add more excitement to my life. Although I’ve been exposed to French since my childhood through academic courses, I never made significant progress in speaking. However, earlier this year, I made a decision to change that. My goal is to achieve conversational fluency in French by 2025.
Since everyone has different learning styles, I’ve discovered that I thrive when I have guidance and accountability from others. I believe enrolling in an adult French class will be beneficial for my learning style and help me stay motivated. Additionally, I’ve found other ways to maintain my motivation in my language learning journey, such as watching delightful videos like the one below.
With this Summer 2023 bucket list, I’m hopeful and open to the new experiences and opportunities that await.
